TERMS & CONDITIONS
By booking and using The Paddocks, you (the client), automatically agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Use of The Paddocks
Access to the field is limited to those who have made a booking and paid in advance.
Please do not arrive before your scheduled start time, and plan to leave the field 10 minutes before your session ends. You must exit the car park no later than 5 minutes before your booking finishes to help prevent overlap and ensure a safe, calm environment for all dogs — especially those who are reactive or nervous.
You must clean up after your dog(s) and place waste in the bins provided. General waste bins are also available. Please note, there are no toilet facilities on site.
Smoking, fires, or BBQs are not permitted in the field or car park at any time.
Bookings are non-transferable and must be made by the person who will attend. That person is responsible for informing all guests of the rules and ensuring their safety while on-site.
Please be considerate of our neighbours and other users by keeping noise levels reasonable.
Always ensure the gates are closed and locked behind you — whether entering or exiting — regardless of whether another user is waiting. This is to confirm each visitor has a booking and valid access code.
Any toys found in the field’s toy box belong to The Paddocks and must not be taken away. All equipment is used at your own risk. Please return all toys to the box after use to prevent accidental sharing, which may pose a risk for some dogs.
2. Public Liability Insurance
The Paddocks holds public liability insurance, which covers certain incidents resulting in injury or death.
Clients are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their dogs. Any incident must be reported to The Paddocks as soon as possible.
Use of the field is entirely at your own risk, including personal property and your dog(s).
As a natural outdoor space, the ground may be muddy, uneven, or slippery — please take care.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The field is designed for dogs, not as a play area for children. Climbing or playing on field equipment is not permitted.
3. Dogs
If your dog becomes unwell before, during, or after your visit, or is showing signs of a contagious illness (e.g. kennel cough), please contact us immediately.
Please clean up after your dog using the bins provided. If you spot any uncollected waste, feel free to remove it and report it to us at info@dog-paddocks.com.
All dogs using the field must be fully up-to-date with their vaccinations.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled using the link in your confirmation email. You can also contact us for help via 07312 126409 or info@dog-paddocks.com.
If you cancel at least 24 hours before your booking, you are eligible for a refund. Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
5. Fencing
While we aim to maintain our fencing to a high standard, occasional issues such as digging by animals or fallen branches may cause damage. If you notice any issues, please let us know immediately so we can address them and notify other users. Please note, we cannot accept responsibility for dogs escaping the field, even if the fencing is damaged or you were informed in advance.
6. Escaping Dogs
Although the field is securely fenced, we cannot guarantee containment for dogs who are prone to digging or jumping. Please assess whether the space is appropriate for your dog before letting them off lead. If your dog digs, you are responsible for refilling the hole and reporting it to us.
7. Exempt Dog Breeds
Dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted at our Bassingbourn paddock, but may attend the Duxford location, provided they are legally exempt.
Exempt breeds using Duxford Paddock must:
Be officially registered on the Index of Exempted Dogs (IED).
Follow our specific procedure for visiting:
Certificate: Send a copy of your Exemption Certificate when booking for the first time. Once registered, you won't need to resubmit it.
Arrival: Ensure the car park gate is completely closed before exiting your vehicle.
Lead & Muzzle: Your dog must remain leashed and muzzled from your car to the paddock.
Inside the Paddock: Once the paddock gate is securely closed, you may remove the lead and muzzle.
Multiple Dogs: Only dogs from the same household may use the field together (up to two dogs at a time).
